Arterial Leadercath is a catheter designed for arterial access inserted using the Seldinger technique.
Although it can be inserted in various arteries, the radial and femoral arteries are the most common sites for placement of this catheter. The Seldinger technique facilitates arterial puncture, particularly in hypotensive patients with weak peripheral pulses or in arteries affected by atherosclerosis or narrowing.
The product is supplied in a rigid blister pack containing:
- 1 introducer needle
- 1 straight guidewire
- 1 transparent and radiopaque catheter made of polyethylene with a winged hub (except for codes 115.12/15/17, which have hubs without wings)
