Daclon is a non-resorbable suture made through the extrusion process of polyamide 6.0 or 6.6.
Over time, the suture is gradually encapsulated by connective tissue. The thread mass diminishes, reducing approximately 10% per year due to the rupture of chemical links (hydrolytic action).
