The Verorab Rabies Vaccine can be used prior to rabies virus exposure or after exposure as a boosted dose. The Vaccine is an intramuscular injection, administered into the shoulder for adults and children, and into the thigh for toddlers and infants. The Verorab Rabies Vaccine consists of Maltose, 20% albumin solution, basal medium eagle (mixture of mineral salts, vitamins, dextrose and amino acids including L Phenylalanine), sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide (for pH adjustment) and water for injections.
