Liquid Paraffin is a transparent, colourless, almost odourless, oily liquid with good lubricating properties. Indications As an aseptic dressing or lubricant for catheters and surgical instruments. Contraindications Known hypersensitivity to petroleum based products. Adverse Effects Liquid Paraffin may be slightly absorbed from wounds giving rise to granulomatous reactions. Prolonged use on wounds should be avoided. Directions for Use Apply as necessary and repeat application as required. Storage Store below 30oC. Use once only and discard any remaining portion.
