Absorbable haemostatic gelatin sponge
- Features a uniform porous structure, activating the thrombocytes as soon as the blood is absorbed by the gelatine sponge matrix.
- It is absorbed 3 to 4 weeks. When applied to the skin or mucosa in gelling bleeding it is dissolved after 3 to 5 days.
- When expelled naturally, it avoids the intervention of the nursing team.
- It does not cause a reaction of the tissues.
- It can be used as a vehicle for antibiotics or thrombin.
